GNU Memorial ("the Service") is a free online memorial inspired by Terry Pratchett's Clacks. It allows users to submit the name of a deceased person so it may be displayed publicly as "GNU [Name]".

When you submit an entry, you receive a unique manage link containing a secret token. This link is the sole proof of ownership. You are responsible for keeping it safe. Without it, we cannot verify your identity and may be unable to process modification or deletion requests for the entry.
Entries reported as inappropriate are automatically hidden pending review. The site operator reserves the right to remove any entry at any time, without prior notice, if it violates these Terms or applicable law.
The Service is provided as-is, with no guarantee of availability, uptime, or data durability. The operator may suspend or discontinue the Service at any time.
The site operator shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, service interruption, or user-submitted content.
These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Service after a modification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The date of the last update is indicated at the bottom of this page.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction of the site operator. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
